Kenya has a young and budding ultimate Frisbee community, the Kenyan Flying Disc Association (KFDA), one of the World Flying Disc Federation's (WFDF) newest members oversees matters Frisbee in the country. Frisbee players mostly constitute a mix of University students, expatriates, and locals working in the area. Their ages vary mostly between 17 and 70 years of age, with a health mix of both genders. There are currently 8 active teams split into the either being within the Western or Eastern Conference depending on geographical location. Within these 2 conferences, team conduct self organized tourneys and twice every year meet for the grass tournament (Lake Victoria Grass Ultimate Tournament - LVGUT), held every first weekend of July in Kisumu County, and for the sand tournament (Frisbee East Africa Sand Tournament -FEAST) held every Easter holiday in Tiwi Beach, Kwale County. The Kenyan teams also participate in regional meeting in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi.
